Sometimes called re-positional tapes, these adhesive systems are generally coated onto polyester carriers. Each side of the carrier is coated with a different adhesive system or a different coat weight of the same adhesive.

One side will be coated with a normal/heavy weight acrylic adhesive which will be used as a permanent bond to a substrate in the normal expected way. Once the protective paper liner is removed exposing the opposing adhesive surface this can be bonded to a wide variety of surfaces including paper and can then be peeled away without;
- Damaging the surface it was adhered to
- Leaving any adhesive residue behind
- Adversely affecting its adhesive capabilities enabling further bonding to take place.
